Lot 2212 WINCHESTER MODEL 37 "RED LETTER" SINGLE SHOT
SHOTGUN. Cal. 410 GA, 3". NSN. Bbl. 28". Model 37 "Red Letter" single shot shotgun mfg. by Winchester between 1936-1963. Left side of the bbl. exhibits standard markings denoting Winchester's mfg. information, the model and cal. designations, as well as the Winchester trademark logo, followed by "CHOKE". Underside of the receiver is marked with the Winchester trademark logo (red enamel not present). Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Plain wood pistol grip buttstock and forend. Aluminum bead front sight. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray patina, scattered superficial handling marks, as well as some spots of light surface oxidation overall. Mirror bore. Wood furniture shows some superficial marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. PROVENANCE: Estate of Russell Dickerman. (25-1914/MLW).
